Christmas decorations, golf, and sweet potato pie

We put up our Christmas tree last night! Our tradition of buying Christmas ornaments and decorations after Christmas every year really paid off. The only thing we had to buy was hooks to hang the ornaments with. I love our little apartment all decorated. My favorite thing is the nativity scene that my in-laws got for me last year. It's Jim Shore and the robes of each character "tell the story" of how they found baby Jesus. It's beautiful. I'll share some pictures next time I write.

Dan has been playing in a tournament all weekend. I just heard from him and he said that he won his individual match and that his team beat Coastal. I'm so excited for him. He was getting really frustrated with his golfing, maybe this will change his attitude. He's so talented and doesn't even see it. I have to remind him often that a lot of guys would kill for his "bad" scores.

Thanksgiving is coming up. I am really excited. I haven't seen my grandparents since early September and I haven't spent much quality time with my parents since the summer. I am going to practice making my grandmother's famous sweet potato pie again with her on Thursday. Since we're spending Christmas up north, I want to bring a little southern tradition with me and I want it to be perfect.
